Griffin Structures has been contracted by the Cathedral City Redevelopment Agency to program, design, and construct a new fire station to replace their current aging station 411 facility. The new fire station is part of a comprehensive seven phase development plan that will include future Fire Administration Training, Emergency Operations Center and Dispatch, City Administration Facilities, and the potential for select commercial and retain development. The new 20,000 SF fire station will become the headquarters station and house its new ladder truck and other apparatus serving the core downtown commercial and business sectors, including the hotel district. The site is located in a redevelopment area near City Hall. The city staff, fire department and Griffin have recently completed the 90% Construction Documents that are currently in the agency approval stage for permitting. Griffin Structures has presented the City with a Guaranteed Maximum Price under our Integrated Project Delivery method to complete the public bidding of the trades, construction and other services through and post occupancy.
