Griffin Structures, Inc., performed a Facility Condition Assessment for the City of Seal Beach, including the evaluation of buildings and facilities the City owns and maintains. The Assessment rated each facility’s various components, including evaluation of the facility's useful life, noting specific deficiencies, preparing budgetary remedial costs, examining ADA and other code compliance, and studying replacement vs. renovation costs.
This Project will provided the City with an independent assessment by Griffin's technical experts of the present state of the buildings and facilities, a prioritization of deficiencies found, the cost of remedying those deficiencies, and the costs of building replacement when and where warranted.
"The Griffin team successfully performed a citywide Facilities Condition Assessment program for the City of Seal Beach this year. The comprehensive review of more than 35 facilities was delivered to the City in a timely and professional manner. In addition, the team presented the findings to our community and City Council in a series of study sessions/Council meetings where the results were thoroughly evaluated.
The diligent and thorough manner with which the team followed to produce the final document was instrumental in producing a tool that Seal Beach will use in our future Capital Improvements Program." - Sean Crumby, P.E., Assistant City Manager / Director of Public Works, City of Seal Beach
