Griffin Structures is serving as Program and Construction Managers for the Tustin Fire Station No. 37 project. The fire station is a replacement facility for the existing OFCA station No. 37 due to the age and location of the existing facility. The new station is a 2-bay, 8,500 GSF station with all modern design upgrades per the latest OCFA and City of Tustin standards. The station is located in the Tustin Legacy District and will serve the vastly growing area. The new fire station is being designed to LEED Certified standards. The design and permitting phase is planned for November 2009 through December 2010. Construction is scheduled to begin sometime in the year 2011 pending the City’s decision when the new station will be required as the Tustin Legacy area continues to be developed.
