LEED / Sustainable Services

Griffin Structures' first introduction to sustainable design began many years ago with our first Construction Management assignment in Western Europe (Italy). While sustainable design and LEED accredited projects are relatively "new" in the design and construction lexicon in the United States, Europe has practiced sustainability in design for decades, due in large part to lesser resources coupled with a greater sense of both  social and environmental awareness.

Since that time, we have been keenly focused on sustainability as a core component of our corporate and professional culture.  To that end, Griffin Structures is a founding member of GreenSolutions, a group of professionals from all aspects of the industry dedicated to the advancement of sustainability in project  design and construction. Griffin is also a member of the US Green Building Council, and key individuals of the our firm are LEED accredited.

Griffin has a notable list of current and past projects designed and constructed to sustainable standards.  Among these is Orange County’s first LEED Platinum project: The Environmental Nature Center Exhibit Hall and Office Building, ENC, Newport Beach, CA.
